How much is a pint of beer in Prague?

City Europe Updated July 2026

A half-litre of Czech draught beer (the standard Prague pour, slightly less than a UK pint) typically costs CZK 50 to CZK 80 in a regular pub, roughly $2.25 to $3.65. Touristy spots near Old Town Square or Charles Bridge push prices to CZK 100 to CZK 140 (around $4.50 to $6.35), still cheaper than most US or UK city pints. Quality Czech pilsner (Pilsner Urquell, Budvar, Staropramen) and a deep micro-brewery scene mean even the low end of the price range is good beer. Beer cheaper than bottled water is a Prague cliche but broadly true in workmanlike pubs. For the full cost picture, see our Prague cost of living page.
